Fly Geyser in Nevada is a geyser made by people. Its colourful mound rises about 3.7 metres (12 feet) out of the ground and sprays hot spring water over shallow pools that are home to all kinds of life. It stands on Fly Ranch, off State Route 34 about 30 minutes north of Gerlach, on the edge of the Black Rock Desert. You can see it on a Fly Ranch nature walk: a 1.5-mile loop through the ranch’s spring-fed wetland that ends at the geyser.
